Tyler Brown

“Downtown Tyler Brown”—a nickname his older brother coined back in the ’80s—has stuck with Tyler over the years, and honestly, he kind of loves it. A lifelong local, Tyler grew up in Coeur d’Alene and has had a front-row seat to its evolution. He’s one of the few who still remembers the town before the Silver Lake Mall and the Veterans Memorial Bridge even existed.

At just 21, Tyler launched his first business in Coeur d’Alene back in 2002. Long before Costco and Walmart arrived, he was running a brick-and-mortar storefront downtown. Watching the area transform into the vibrant, dynamic place it is today has been a wild ride—and he’s proud to be part of shaping its future. As Coeur d’Alene continues to grow, Tyler is passionate about seeing it evolve in a positive, forward-thinking way.

He’s spent his entire life in Kootenai County and plans to spend the rest of it here. Tyler has raised children—and foster children—in the community he loves. He’s proud of the local schools, support services, and actively looks for ways to give back.

Tyler takes full advantage of North Idaho’s year-round beauty. Spring means early camping trips up the Coeur d’Alene River, with weekends full of fishing, floating, target shooting, and ATV rides with family and friends. In the summer, he heads to the lake for cruising, tubing, wakeboarding, and soaking up the sun on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Come fall, you’ll find him exploring backwoods trails in a RZR, tearing through the forests and logging roads he’s known since childhood. And when winter rolls around? He’s all about the snow—skiing, snowboarding, snowbiking, and snowmobiling are just part of the fun. For Tyler, throttle therapy is real.
